Recently, we installed a set of handcrafted
garage doors for a client who then hired a
housepainter to finish them. On a Tuesday,
the homeowner called us in a panic: the
painter had ruined the doors, and she needed
us to restore them in time for an important
event on Saturday.
We arrived at her home by 7:30 a.m.
Wednesday to see that the painter had foolishly
taken an orbital sander to the doors
before brushing on a coat of polyurethane.
In short, he made a mess of the doors. We
worked on the restoration until 2 a.m.
Thursday, and we returned to work on them
again from 7 a.m. Friday to 4:30 a.m.
Saturday.
“The client called us back the next week to
personally thank our crew for doing such an
excellent job and for completing it before
her party. It’s a dramatic story, but it’s the
kind of lengths we go to for our customers,”
